Senior Product Manager - Open Products & APIs
Responsibilities
TikTok Open Platform team's goal is to build a bridge between the TikTok ecosystem and the external world, connect people from different communities. We are looking for PMs to build and grow the platform, bring sustainable value to both partners and TikTok. You are expected to work closely with engineering teams in multiple cities on the west coast of US.
Responsibilities:
-Define and execute strategic roadmap for TikTok's open product suite (APIs, SDKs, developer tools).
-Drive B2B product initiatives enabling enterprise partners and developers to build on TikTok's platform.
-Work with engineering teams to design scalable, developer-friendly APIs and SDKs.
-Define technical requirements for AI-powered features exposed through open products.

-Conduct user research with developers, enterprise clients, and creator economy stakeholders.
-Optimize developer experience through improved documentation, onboarding flows, and support tools.
-Monitor API usage patterns and developer feedback to inform product iterations.
-Partner with Legal, Security, Business Development, and Marketing teams for compliant product launches
• Support international product rollouts and ensure global API consistency.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
-4+ years of product management experience, with 2+ years focused on APIs, SDKs, or developer platforms
• Proven track record managing B2B products with technical audiences.
-Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and modern API architecture,hands-on experience with API design principles, authentication, and developer onboarding.
-Demonstrated success in B2B product strategy and go-to-market execution.
-Understanding of platform business models and developer ecosystems and strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive product decisions
-Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
-Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive consensus on technical decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
-Technical degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
-Experience with short-form video platforms, social media products, or creator economy tools.
-Understanding of AI/ML integration in consumer products and API exposure strategies.
-Familiarity with GraphQL, webhooks, and advanced API management systems.
-Knowledge of mobile app development (iOS/Android) and web integration patterns.
-Experience with enterprise sales cycles and technical stakeholder management.
-Previous experience at major social media platforms, video platforms, or API-first companies.
-Background in developer relations, technical partnerships, or platform evangelism.
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $165120 - $414000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
