About the team
The Global Monetization Product and Technology team at TikTok builds innovative advertising solutions that drive revenue while delivering measurable value for businesses. Within this organization, the Core Ads team focuses on developing scalable, high impact products that help advertisers unlock the full business value of TikTok and their broader paid media investments.
We partner cross functionally with engineering, data science, design, and global business teams to drive performance and innovation across an ads platform used by millions of advertisers worldwide.
The Core Ads team is seeking a senior product manager to lead the development of client facing targeting, bidding, and placement solutions, which are core components of the ads system that determine who sees ads, how budgets are allocated, and where ads are delivered across TikTok's ecosystem. These modules play a critical role in helping advertisers maximize return on investment and achieve their business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Own the design and iteration of core ads modules, including targeting, bidding, and placement, which serve as the control center for ads performance.
- Drive end to end advertising performance, improving delivery efficiency and client experience while contributing to revenue growth.
- Develop a deep, customer centric understanding of advertiser needs and business models, and continuously refine campaign strategies and optimization goals to maximize ROI.

- Partner cross functionally with engineering, data science, design, and business teams to align on strategy and execute effectively.
- Break down complex business problems to identify high impact opportunities and prioritize features that enhance advertiser trust and overall platform experience.
- Shape product strategy and roadmap by defining clear goals, success metrics, and milestones, and align stakeholders to drive execution against priorities.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent industry experience is also welcome.
- 3+ years of product management experience in online advertising. Familiarity with the full software product lifecycle, with the ability to lead product or product portfolio development from ideation and development to launch, performance monitoring, and iterative optimization.
- Strong learning agility, logical thinking, and problem solving skills, with the ability to adapt quickly to complex and fast changing international business environments.
- Excellent cross functional communication, and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical ability to break down complex problems and drive collaboration across teams and regions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of the ads ecosystem, preferably in areas such as targeting, bidding, or placement
- Proven track record of designing and launching client-facing business products
- Experience in fast paced environments, particularly within global tech companies or rapidly evolving industries
- Experience in machine learning or recommender systems is a plus.
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $185600 - $396000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
