Senior Policy Specialist (Monetization Policy) - TikTok LIVE
Responsibilities
About the Team
The Livestream Team designs and implements policies for live streaming to ensure a high-quality, diverse, and engaging content experience. We are responsible for building a secure and thriving real-time interaction space that benefits both users and creators. Our work involves establishing clear guidelines to minimize problematic content, identify emerging risks, and defend against bad-faith actors, all while maintaining transparency and defensibility in our policy decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine livestream monetization policies: Draft clear, concise, and effective policies and procedures for TikTok LIVE, considering the needs of users, creators, and the TikTok brand.
- Maintain policy documentation: Ensure all livestream monetizations policies are up-to-date and easily accessible to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Conduct policy research and analysis: Stay informed about industry best practices, legal and regulatory developments, and emerging trends in livestreaming and online content moderation.
- Analyze data to identify risks: Utilize data analysis skills to proactively identify and mitigate potential content risks associated with TikTok LIVE monetization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with teams such as Legal, Product, and Operations to ensure alignment and effective policy implementation.
- Monitor policy effectiveness: Track key performance indicators and gather feedback to evaluate the impact of LIVE policies and make recommendations for improvement.
- Support policy training and implementation: Collaborate with training teams to develop and deliver effective training materials for content reviewers on livestream monetization policies.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or above, with more than 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Sensitivity to content and culture, familiarity with the political and cultural environment, and a solid understanding of Internet development and regulatory trends.

Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $110223 - $248400 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
