Senior Immigration Specialist - Green Card Program, AMS

Responsibilities

Team Summary:
The AMS Work Visa team is dedicated to ensuring compliance with U.S. immigration laws and regulations across the Americas region. We manage vendor relationships, oversee immigration case workflows, and support employees throughout their visa and work authorization processes. Our team collaborates closely with internal stakeholders to maintain accurate documentation and uphold the integrity of all immigration-related activities.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Immigration specialist to oversee U.S. employment-based green card programs. This role combines program governance, visa compliance oversight, employee advisory, stakeholder consultation, and vendor management. The position requires both regulatory expertise and the ability to translate complex immigration rules into clear, actionable guidance for employees and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
US Employment-Based Immigration Program
- Manage the full lifecycle of U.S. employment-based green card cases, including PERM, I-140 (EB-1, EB-2, EB-3), and I-485.
- Define sponsorship eligibility criteria and internal approval frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with DHS, DOL, and DOS rules and regulations.
- Assess risk implications related to wage level changes, role/location changes, layoffs, or organizational restructuring.

Employee Consultation & Case Communication
- Serve as the primary internal point of contact for employees regarding green card and mobility-related work visa matters.
- Provide clear guidance on eligibility, timelines, documentation requirements, and status implications, based upon guidance from counsel.
- Manage escalations and complex individual scenarios.
- Develop clear communication templates, FAQs, and policy guidance materials.
- Ensure consistent expectation-setting throughout the case lifecycle.

Internal Stakeholder Advisory
- Partner with HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, and business leaders to provide structured immigration guidance.
- Take part in discussions regarding visa implications during hiring, internal transfers, promotions, compensation adjustments, and workforce planning.
- Educate stakeholders on compliance boundaries and decision-making criteria.
- Support leadership with data-driven insights and risk assessments.
- Flag emerging regulatory or operational risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

Policy, Process Design
- Develop and maintain standardized immigration policies.
- Build scalable SOPs for intake, approvals, vendor coordination, and escalations.
- Define SLAs and KPIs for case management and vendor performance.
- Maintain accurate case tracking and reporting to manage the process quality.

Vendor Oversight
- Oversee external immigration counsels who provide immigration services for our U.S. programs.
- Monitor case quality, service levels, and compliance standards.
- Conduct periodic performance reviews and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.

- 5+ years of experience in the U.S. immigration program management, which must include hands-on experience with relevant employment-based green card processes.
- Strong, in depth knowledge of employment-based immigration processes and how the various processes may impact each other, including PERM, I-140 (EB-1, EB-2, and EB-3), I-485, H-1B, TN, E-3, B, L-1, and visa stamping.
- Strong consultative communication skills with employees and business stakeholders.
- Ability to translate complex immigration regulations into practical guidance.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Risk-based decision-making mindset.
- Operational rigor and process design capability.
- Experience managing high-volume case environments and ensuring SLAs are met within that environment.
- Strong experience working with case management databases and standard technologies to complete daily tasks, such as reporting, communication, case logs, and auditing.

Job Information

[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $112640 - $220400 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
