Senior Financial Reporting Manager
Responsibilities
About the Team:
This Senior Financial Reporting Manager role sits in a team responsible for overseeing the preparation of financial reports for key entities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing technical expertise on complex accounting issues. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in audit and reporting, profound expertise in IFRS and related reporting practices, exceptional communication and team collaboration skills, and a deep understanding of the TMT sector as a significant advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of financial reports for key entities, including consolidated statements, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to IFRS and other relevant standards.
- Coordinate external audits, liaising with auditors to provide necessary documentation and explanations, ensuring efficient and successful audit completion.
- Provide technical support and guidance on complex accounting matters, resolving issues and advising on best practices.
- Perform quality assurance reviews on financial reports, focusing on the accurate recording and disclosure of significant matters to uphold reporting standards.
- Monitor changes in financial policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements, ensuring the company's reporting practices remain compliant and up-to-date.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or equivalent are essential.
- Highly experienced in financial reporting and audit, with significant experience as a Senior Manager or above in a Big 4 firm.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS and related regulatory requirements for reporting.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments to address complex accounting and reporting issues effectively.
- Strong team collaboration spirit and a commitment to continuous learning, adapting to evolving industry and regulatory landscapes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Profound understanding of the TMT sector, including leading practices in financial reporting specific to the TMT industry, is a plus.
- Proficiency in financial reporting tools and systems would be advantageous.
