Senior Commercial Counsel, METAPSA & EECA

Responsibilities
- You will serve as a legal advisor and business partner to TikTok's sales, marketing and monetization functions primarily across the METAPSA and EECA regions.
- You will lead negotiations with key media buying clients and will draft and negotiate a wide range of agreements across the METAPSA and EECA regions including, but not limited to:
- Sales contracts with media buying agencies and brands that use the TikTok platform
- Trading and partnership agreements with media buying clients
- Sponsorship agreements
- Partnership and collaboration agreements
- Service provider agreements and statements of work, including creative agency, production and event management agreements
- Agreements governing creative assets provided by our in-house team, talent agreements and image releases
- Competition T&Cs
- NDAs
- You will advise on key legal and regulatory issues relating to TikTok's monetization and sales operations across the METAPSA and EECA regions.
- You will have an understanding for advertisement standards and compliance requirements across the METAPSA and EECA regions and advise on new laws relating to advertising, marketing and user generated content across the region.
- You will respond to ad hoc requests for legal advice from a wide range of teams across METAPSA and EECA.
- You will coordinate the legal response to advertiser and agency questionnaires.
- You will have significant responsibility for knowledge management, template development (including playbooks), process improvement and training (both within legal and the wider sales and marketing functions).
- You will instigate and lead on global streamlining and process improvement projects. You will also participate in cross-regional working groups and forums relating to the same.
- You will engage external legal counsel for advice and project management.
- You will make recommendations for legal and commercial processes and initiatives which assist the business to scale.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification(s)
- Solid experience in an in-house legal department or in a reputable law firm, ideally with regional EMEA experience
- Qualified to practice law and in good standing in UK, US, or other common law jurisdiction
- Strong communication skills and presentation skills, able to engage effectively with internal stakeholders, cross functional teams & external clients
- Expertise in advising, drafting and negotiating sales & commercial contracts;
- Strong commercial acumen and be comfortable taking commercial decisions and working closely with senior stakeholders;
- Proven ability to deal with ambiguity and work well in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines within short time constraints whilst maintaining the utmost attention to detail.
