Search Operations Specialist - Model Data
Responsibilities
About the Team
The Search-Model Data team at TikTok provides labeling services covering over 20 countries/regions and 18 languages. The team provides data labeling for training and testing of search models for various business segments, such as search ranking(user experience improvement), search recommendation, search ads, and search security (non-bottom line), helping to improve search results and optimise search ranking through efficient and accurate data labeling and professional analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Working both independently, and in collaboration with stakeholders, to deliver high quality output across projects, and develop a best practice model for maintaining high performance on those projects.
- Regular calibration meetings with stakeholders to maintain knowledge & standards, and provide feedback on implementation and execution.
- Work closely with the Product Operation team to be in line with guideline updates and related knowledge, and facilitate efficient & timely communication of guideline questions between all stakeholders.
- Perform daily audits and provide analysis of errors and feedback to respective teams if needed.
- Conduct RCA escalations through the relevant process if needed.
- Be able & willing to support or backfill temporary gaps in market support.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Fluent English is required as the role requires communication with English markets, fluent in English is also required as it is the working language.
- Knowledge of search engines and familiarity with social media platforms.
- Flexibility to work on projects outside of core expertise as needed and ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
- Ability to work on potentially variable shift patterns, including weekends, evenings, and nights, ensuring availability for five out of any seven days per week.
- Willingness to work with sensitive and potentially disturbing content.
Preferred Qualifications
- QA/Content Moderation/AI Annotation experience or equivalent, market knowledge, understanding of local culture and internet usage habits of target markets.
- Familiarity with search-related businesses.
- Strong analytical skills including data analytics, learning ability, problem-solving skills, adaptability and attention to detail.
- Proficient in common productivity software (eg. Office Suite, Google Workspace, etc).
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in multiple locations and timezones.
