The Risk Intelligence team play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and surfacing emerging, evolving and ongoing risks that may impact user safety or platform integrity.
About the role
As a Risk Intelligence Analyst within Trust & Safety, you will draw on a deep understanding of how bad actors exploit the platform, leverage a variety of intelligence sources, conduct investigations, to surface signals that will enable content enforcement teams to remove violative content, accounts and networks at scale. This role sits at the intersection of technology, policy, and investigation and requires strong analytical and collaboration skills

- Proactively search for and identify undetected abuse trends and signals by leveraging internal data, open-source intelligence, and third party private intelligence.
- Surface at scale, platform manipulation, adversarial behavior, and high-harm coordinated operations.
- Build horizon scanning frameworks and early warning systems to detect emerging threats.
- Support highest priority escalations across multiple channels with high quality, accuracy, and speed.
2. Risk Assessment & Tooling Development
- Create or improve systematic frameworks to identify known and unknown risks.
- Design dashboards, metrics, and monitoring tools to track threat signals and develop alerts for anomalous behavior.
- Partner with engineering teams to improve existing tools and develop new tooling concepts to identify threats at scale.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Risk Intelligence, Threat Detection, Trust & Safety, or similar investigative functions.
- Strong command of OSINT methodologies and experience applying them to online risk investigations.
- Strong and proven data analysis skills, with demonstrated experience in summarizing and simplifying complex data clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences. You are also open to proactively learning and using technical and tooling skills.
- Deep knowledge of risks that are specific to social media platforms. Strong understanding of online safety, adversarial tactics, and digital harm mitigation.
- You have respect for other cultures and passion for protecting users. You are eager to shape a new space within a rapidly growing and changing tech company
- Collaborative and open mindset to adapt to a constantly-evolving T&S environment. Able to prioritize multiple ongoing tasks.
- Ability to do both deep-focused work and be agile when needed, to thrive in a high tempo environment, adapt and respond to day to day challenges of the role
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting language eg. Python
- Familiarity with dis/misinformation, AIGC, online extremism, hate, mental health, human exploitation, frauds & scams, or influence operations.
- Experience working in or adjacent to Tech, Government, Media, or Law Enforcement sectors.
- Experience with digital forensics, adversarial testing (red teaming), or behavioural signal analysis.
