About the Team
The Resiliency Operations Center (ROC) is a best-in-class operational model that unifies Incident Response, Crisis Management, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery alignment, and Preparedness & Strategy. This team operates within TikTok's U.S. Data Security (USDS) organization and is dedicated to safeguarding U.S. user data while ensuring organizational resilience.
About the Role
This position requires the ability to work well, act quickly, bring the right people to the table, and understand processes to analyze situations effectively. USDS Resiliency Operations Analysts will report to the USDS Resiliency Operations Center (ROC) Lead. This position is responsible for supporting incident response operations, analysis of incident intake processes and business impact assessments, strategic projects, and other duties as needed.
In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.

- Analyze processes for automation to support incident management, Business Continuity, and Strategy and Preparedness initiatives.
- Communicate with a variety of stakeholders (legal, engineering, product management, etc.) to resolve open questions and concerns and convey incident response concepts and protocols in a digestible manner to non-technical audiences.
- Support and streamline internal and technical incident operations and fill incident management process gaps as needed. Build relationships with key stakeholder teams in order to inform process optimization projects.
- The ability to understand TikTok's policies, compliance environment, operational processes, and technical infrastructure in the context of incident response, business continuity, strategy and preparedness , as well as important privacy and compliance concepts to better understand where technical solutions can and should be leveraged.
- Investigate potential cases of business disruption (ex. evaluate Recovery Point Objectives and Recovery Time Objectives, etc.) and work collaboratively to develop flexible notification and business continuity processes.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors' Degree or industry equivalent work experience in business, data science, cybersecurity, emergency management, or operations with a focus on cross-functional collaboration in domains such as security, privacy, or compliance.
- Demonstrated time management, problem-solving, prioritization, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and within constraints to solve problems and meet objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to lead or contribute to global and multi-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and ability to influence without authority.
- Familiarity or technical acumen to learn engineering terminology and ticketing platforms such as JIRA.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ year of work experience in the social media, entertainment, and / or tech industries along with incident or emergency response.
- Experience directly working with software engineers to solve problems and with query languages such as SQL.
- Familiarity with the US security and privacy regulatory environment (ex. state data breach laws, federal privacy laws such as COPPA, etc.).
- Security or privacy focused certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CIPP/US, etc.
