Regulatory Privacy Counsel
Responsibilities
About the Team:
The Global Regulatory Legal team supports the company across complex and fast-evolving regulatory issues globally, with a focus on privacy, AI, digital platform regulation, online safety, and youth protection. The team works closely with Product Legal, Privacy Legal, GR, and regional legal teams to drive regulatory readiness, support investigations and enforcement matters, and help shape scalable global approaches to emerging regulation.
Responsibilities:
- Support privacy and data protection regulatory matters across LatAm, Canada, and AMA (Africa, Middle East and APAC), including enforcement actions, and regulator engagement
- Advise on emerging privacy, AI, and digital regulation impacting platform operations, product features, data use, minors' safety, and online safety obligations
- Monitor and assess new laws, enforcement trends, and regulatory developments across multiple jurisdictions
- Help coordinate cross-functional responses to regulators, including risk assessments, written submissions, compliance plans, and internal escalation materials
- Partner closely with Product Legal, Privacy Legal, Public Policy, and regional legal teams on implementation strategies and regulatory readiness
- Support development of global positions and frameworks on key topics such as age assurance, AI governance, data minimization, cross-border data transfers, and platform accountability
- Contribute to broader regulatory strategy workstreams, including horizon scanning, tracker development, trend analysis, and global regulatory coordination

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Significant years of legal experience, preferably combining private practice and in-house experience
- Strong experience in privacy, data protection, regulatory investigations, or technology regulation
- Experience working on complex cross-border matters and interacting with regulators or government authorities
- Ability to work cross-functionally across Legal, Product, T&S, GR, and business teams
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and managing multiple high-priority matters simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Preferred Qualification:
- Experience with online safety, AI regulation, platform governance, or youth safety issues is a plus
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $127680 - $297540 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
