Recording Engineer Project Intern (Data Speech) - 2026 Start (BS/MS)
Responsibilities
The Data-Speech department is dedicated to the research and development of core AI technologies and product innovation related to speech, audio, and music. The department supports the entire content pipeline - from production and editing to consumption - empowering content creation and interaction. Operating as a central platform, the team provides cutting-edge technological capabilities and solutions to multiple business units across the company.
As a project intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful short-term projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real-world experience. You will gain practical skills through on-the-job learning in a fast-paced work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests.

Successful candidates must be able to commit to at least 3 months long internship period.
Job Responsibilities
1. Conduct booth checks on recording studio setups to ensure recording environments meet technical and quality requirements.
2. Monitor recording sessions to maintain consistent speaker performance, ensuring alignment with the reference, and perform mid-session sound checks to verify audio quality.
3. Draft casting documentation, evaluate first-round auditions to filter unsuitable samples, and organize audition materials for review and second-round requirements.
4. Perform audio/performance checks on final edits, verifying compliance with booth test standards, stylistic consistency, and intonation accuracy against reference files. Upload and log processed data, prepare documentation for vendor segmentation and alignment, and organize aligned data for training use.
5. Assist in creating and recording evaluation test sets, review vendor-submitted evaluation results, and prepare detailed evaluation reports.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Audio Engineering, Sound Design, Music Technology, Acoustics, or a related discipline.
2. Proficiency in Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Adobe Auditions, along with hands-on experience operating sound boards and studio recording equipment. Strong technical skills in audio editing are essential for ensuring clean, consistent, and high-quality recordings.
3. Solid understanding of English dialogue delivery, with some experience in ADR or voice recording. Able to evaluate whether performances are expressive enough and accurately match the reference tracks.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Relevant experience in TTS or LLM.
2. Some experience in programming, including but not limited to C, C++, Java and Python.
3. Familiarity with local popular culture associated with the target language.
