About the team
At Market Risk Management team (MRM), we focus on addressing risks that emerge between global safety frameworks and the regional political, regulatory, and cultural realities of individual markets. By combining market-level data, our market expertise and cross-functional insights, we develop tailored strategies to manage Trust & Safety risk, protect users, and help ensure that global safety approaches remain effective across diverse markets.

About the role
As the Market Risk Management Lead, you will lead a regional team responsible for identifying and managing emerging market risks, ensuring market insights inform global safety priorities and mitigation strategies. You will oversee a team of program managers and act as the primary interface between regional stakeholders and global Trust & Safety teams to ensure risks are effectively assessed, prioritized and addressed.

In this role, you will drive strategic initiatives that strengthen platform safety and resilience across markets, working closely with specialists across Public Policy, Legal, Communications, Product, Operations, Data Science, and Content Policy. You will translate regional insights into actionable recommendations, guide cross-functional collaboration, and ensure mitigation strategies are effectively implemented. In this role, you will guide Market Program Managers who bring deep market insights and cultural expertise, while collaborating with global teams to preemptively identify risks and strengthen our safety features.

This role is based in Singapore.

What will I be doing?
1. Lead and develop the Market Risk Management team
- Lead and manage a team of Market Risk Management Program Managers across APAC, providing strategic direction, coaching and performance management.
- Guide the team in identifying and qualifying market-level risks and translating insights into effective mitigation strategies.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing team culture while supporting professional growth and development.
2. Drive regional market risk strategy
- Develop and execute regional strategies to identify, assess and manage market-level risks in Singapore across TikTok platforms and features.
- Translate market insights into actionable recommendations that inform global Trust & Safety priorities and mitigation strategies.
- Provide leadership in managing high-risk scenarios such as regulatory developments, political events, and emerging safety threats.
3. Strengthen cross-functional collaboration
- Work closely with cross-functional partners including Content Policy, Product Management, Data Science, Operations, Public Policy, Communications and Legal to identify, assess and resolve safety-related gaps.
- Serve as the primary Trust & Safety point of contact for regional stakeholders on market risk issues.
- Ensure clear alignment between regional insights and global safety strategies.
4. Drive impact through programs and initiatives

- Lead cross-functional initiatives to address emerging risks and improve platform safety across products and features such as Video, Live, Comments and Accounts.
- Establish scalable processes and frameworks for risk qualification, prioritization and mitigation.
- Ensure risks are effectively tracked, communicated and driven toward resolution through relevant partner teams.
5. Inform global safety priorities
- Provide consolidated regional insights and risk assessments to help shape global Trust & Safety priorities and product strategies.
- Advocate for policy and product improvements that strengthen user safety and platform integrity across markets.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- Strong understanding of User Generated Content (UGC) platforms and the regional political, regulatory and cultural landscape across APAC.
- Extensive experience in Trust & Safety, risk management, program management, or related domains within the technology industry.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and managing complex programs involving multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrated people management experience, including building and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience working with large datasets and translating insights into strategic recommendations.
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional partners.

Preferred Qualifications
- Deep expertise in the APAC region and familiarity with regional regulatory and safety challenges.
- Experience managing high-risk scenarios such as crisis response, election integrity efforts, or regulatory escalations.
- Strong data analysis capabilities, including experience with tools such as Excel and SQL.
- Experience leading global or regional Trust & Safety initiatives across multiple markets.
