Product Policy Manager - Child Safety, Exploitation & Abuse - Trust and Safety
Responsibilities
As a Product Policy Manager on TikTok's Trust & Safety team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and driving enforcement strategies that protect some of the platform's most vulnerable users. You will focus on identifying, preventing, and addressing high-risk behaviors and harmful content, ensuring swift and effective enforcement aligned with TikTok's commitment to a safe and trusted community. You will apply deep knowledge of model policy frameworks and enforcement workflows to inform scalable and consistent enforcement approaches. Leveraging automation and data-driven insights, you will help strengthen detection, escalation, and resolution processes across video content on a global scale. Success in this role requires strategic thinking, strong expertise in online safety enforcement, and the ability to navigate complex, evolving challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and track enforcement performance against key metrics to ensure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Analyze data and translate insights into clear, actionable enforcement strategies for cross-functional teams.
- Identify, prioritize, and implement strategies to reduce the presence of potentially harmful content on the platform.
- Develop enforcement signals and refine moderation strategies to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Design and advance proactive and reactive enforcement methodologies that extend beyond human moderation, collaborating with product teams to enhance automated model enforcement.
- Review graphic and potentially offensive video content to ensure policy compliance.
- Evaluate and improve training materials, while advocating for necessary tooling and technology enhancements to support enforcement efforts.
- Collaborate with policy, product, engineering, research, operations, legal, and public relations teams to innovate and evolve safety strategies, leveraging the latest industry developments and best practices.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in public policy, political science, law, economics, behavioral sciences, or a related field.
- 3-5 years experience in Trust and Safety, with demonstrated exposure to child safety, policy enforcement, and policy development.
- Strong understanding of automation, model policy frameworks, and enforcement metrics.

Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $96000 - $217023 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
