Responsibilities

About The Team
TikTok UX team is responsible for the product design of the TikTok app. Our key vertical ownership areas include Core app Product Infrastructure, Social, Search, Creation, Platform Responsibilities and Design Systems. Providing professional design methods and practices, the team helps improve user experience and working efficiency of these products and areas.

Responsibilities
- Design and build product experiences Design intuitive product experiences and bring them to life through working prototypes or lightweight implementations.
- Prototype with code Use coding and AI tools (e.g., Vibe Coding, AI coding assistants) to rapidly turn product ideas into interactive prototypes that can be tested and iterated.
- Bridge design and engineering Translate product concepts into functional experiences, reducing the gap between design exploration and real product behavior.
- Drive product innovation Identify opportunities to improve user experience across social interaction, content creation, or AI-driven workflows.
- Collaborate cross-functionally Work closely with product managers and engineers to define product direction and ship high-quality experiences.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of product design experience for mobile or web products
- Strong visual and interaction design skills
- Ability to code prototypes or lightweight product features (e.g., HTML/CSS/JS, React, Swift, or similar)
Experience using AI coding tools or Vibe Coding workflows
- Strong product thinking and problem-solving ability

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience building production-quality UI or shipping side projects
- Experience with AI-driven product experiences or agent-based workflows
- Experience working on social products or creator tools
- Passion for TikTok and creator communities

Job Information

[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $108000 - $220400 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location.
