Team Intro
As a Privacy Operations Specialist, you will be engaged in understanding new legislations in collaboration with legal and other stakeholders and to come up with the operational solutions to implement them. You will also be fielding privacy questions from our US users to ensure alleviation of their concerns as well as compliance to the legislations and our operating procedures and SLAs. You will work with Policy, Tools and Product to identify any gaps in the user experience with privacy and contribute to solutions and/or mitigations.
Our Privacy Operations Team performs a critical function that supports our efforts to address objectionable or disturbing content. Content that our Privacy Operations Team interacts with includes images, video, and text related to every-day life, but it can also include (but is not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; and murder.

In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.
Responsibilities
- You will review the incoming queries from TikTok users and respond to them based on established operating procedures and SLAs using industry standard best practices.
- You will work on the operationalization of new legislations. This includes creation of supporting SOPs and macros and identifying changes to be made to the webform, additional tooling requirements and constant follow up with legal to ensure compliance. You should be able to do this with limited guidance.
- You will lead and contribute to other projects to establish and improve processes, tools and workflows.
- You will handle internal and external privacy escalations in partnership with the legal team and other cross functional partners.
- Gather and analyze relevant data to improve processes and consistently communicate insights to stakeholders across US and regional markets.
- Identify gaps in tools, processes, metrics encountered in the course of daily work and propose solutions/mitigations.
- Communicate and escalate privacy questions and concerns to leadership and counsel as needed.
- Document, maintain and update SOPs to ensure currency.
- Stay current on privacy regulations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with a variety of global stakeholders
- Support the Privacy Team as needed
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the privacy space
- Proven ability to operationalize new legislation by independently developing and maintaining SOPs
- Knowledge of privacy regulations and/or previous experience working in legal environment
- Strong attention to detail, highly self-driven and results oriented.

Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $68640 - $97777 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
