About the Team
PDPO(Privacy and Data Protection Office) is the organization to lead, supervise, and empower all TikTok's privacy work in an accountable and industry leading way. This team is the expert in the landscape of privacy risks and passionate about consulting across the company on implementing the proper safeguards and technical mitigations to ensure that our users' privacy is honored across the TikTok's products and platforms.

Job Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for privacy compliance and data security governance of video business to ensure compliance with the compliance and regulatory requirements of the target market.
- Establish a good collaborative relationship with legal and other teams. Based on the interpretation of legal compliance requirements, optimize the mechanism of sorting out, identifying, analyzing, locating, governing and tracking privacy compliance and data security risks to improve the efficiency of risk detection and response.
- Establish a good collaborative relationship with various internal business and R & D teams to jointly promote the implementation of the business compliance management framework, plan and implement necessary technical infrastructure and process specifications, and promote the continuous left shift of privacy compliance capabilities.
- Establish a good collaborative relationship with various internal business and R & D teams to jointly promote the implementation of the data life cycle security management system, plan and implement necessary technical infrastructure and process specifications, and promote the continuous left shift of data security capabilities.
- Lead or deeply participate in various compliance and security governance special projects to ensure the smooth progress of special projects and achieve the expected results.
- Deeply participate in the planning, development, pilot and promotion of various compliance and security tools and platforms, as well as data-based operation based on tools and platforms.
- Cooperate with the internal audit and internal control team to implement internal compliance audits, including but not limited to data permissions, cross-border transmission compliance, APP/SDK compliance, etc.
- Based on industry and internal practices, do a good job in knowledge precipitation and transformation, output professional and standardized solutions, action guides and practical manuals, provide internal training, publicity and consulting services, and create industry influence externally.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor degree or above
- Work experience with domain knowledge in the field of privacy, data protection or cybersecurity
- Experience implementing or assessing the implementation of GDPR, CCPA, or equivalent privacy regulation

Preferred Qualification
- Detail oriented, can coordinate across multiple teams/countries/cultures;
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills are essential to this role
- The ideal candidate must be a great team player, a quick learner and must be able to present well to stakeholders
