About the role
We are looking for a highly analytical intern to support Vietnam TikTok Shop's Platform Strategy team across two work streams: Policy Governance & Reporting and Monetization Strategy. The ideal candidate brings academic or internship exposure in Finance, Audit, Risk, Economics, Business Analytics, or Strategy - comfortable moving between control-oriented operational work and broader commercial strategy questions.

Responsibilities:
Policy Governance & Reporting
- Support weekly monitoring of policy-driven resource allocation across merchant, creator, and agency projects.
- Consolidate and review policy rules, target lists, budget approvals, execution trackers, and issuance/redemption data.
- Perform data validation to identify mismatches in recipient eligibility, incentive amount, quantity, or usage scenario.
- Maintain governance trackers and exception logs with accurate issue tagging, impact sizing, and closure follow-up.
- Assist with root-cause analysis on repeated exceptions and prepare materials for governance reviews.
Monetization Strategy
- Support competitor research and benchmarking across ecommerce platform monetization models - fee structures, ads monetization, incentive design, and seller value proposition.
- Contribute to monetization growth strategy analysis, with focus on platform fee structure optimization and ads revenue growth opportunities.
- Build structured research on seller cost components to understand margin pressure and identify initiatives to drive sustainable growth.
- Analyze macroeconomic trends and regulatory developments and assess the impact on seller performance and platform monetization strategy.
- Synthesize findings into clear frameworks and presentations for strategy discussions and business planning.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, Audit, Economics, Business, Strategy, Data Analytics, or related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Solid foundation in analytics and data-driven decision making.
- High intellectual curiosity with the ability to quickly learn new concepts and skills.
- Adaptable, fast learner, highly motivated, and a versatile team player
- Strong written and verbal English.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior exposure in consulting, internal control, financial analysis, market research, or strategy is a strong plus.
- Strong Excel/Sheets skills required; SQL, financial modeling, or dashboarding is a plus.
