Music Publishing Partnerships Lead, AMS

Responsibilities

The Global Music Business Development team drives negotiations and fosters relationships with record labels and music publishers. We are tasked with creating and implementing the TikTok music strategy. The team helps drive growth and awareness of TikTok and the music and artists that thrive therein. The Music Publishing Partnerships Lead, AMS will support and build relationships across the music publishing space, including education programs, creative activations and product development for music-related products and features across TikTok's suite of AI-powered mobile apps.

The Music Publishing Partnerships Lead, AMS is responsible for building and scaling music publishing partnerships and strategy across the AMS region, enhancing TikTok's industry perception as a songwriter-friendly platform, and driving efficiencies through strategic initiatives and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute music publishing partnerships strategy for AMS
- Develop & maintain high-quality working relationships with music publishing rightsholders, songwriters and management
- Collaborate with cross-functional (XFN) teams to advance education, partnership growth, and songwriter engagement, including the development of songwriter-specific product features
- Conduct partner relationship management, including business reviews, best practice sessions and masterclasses
- Design and execute industry-facing activations to advance industry perception
- Represent TikTok at external industry events

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification(s)
- 3+ years of experience in music or related digital content industry, with an emphasis on music publishing and digital services, including experience in copyright, licensing, business development and product development
- Excellent organizational, communication and presentation design skills
- Proactive team player and effective influencer

Preferred Qualification(s)
- Direct experience at a digital platform or a music rightsholder in a similar role
- Established relationships with key stakeholders across the region
- Creative planning and execution

Job Information

[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $102600 - $198360 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
