Team Introduction:
The Platform Responsibility team is bringing disruptive innovation to content safety through the deep application of AI. We are building next-generation infrastructure that leverages advanced LLMs to reshape risk detection and governance. By engineering high-quality data pipelines and integrating AI into core decision-making, we drive exponential efficiency gains and precision. As a project intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful short-term projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real-world experience. You will gain practical skills through on-the-job learning in a fast-paced work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with live streaming, engineering, content review, and risk control teams to define live safety operation requirements and ensure stable and compliant live broadcast services.
- Conduct user and content safety analysis, monitor live room risks, and identify hidden dangers and improvement opportunities for live safety operations.
- Assist in formulating and updating live safety operation processes and rules, and participate in the implementation and iteration of operation plans.
- Track and analyze live safety operation data and key indicators, summarize operation effects, and provide data-based optimization suggestions.
- Assist in monitoring industry live safety policies, platform rules, and competitor practices to support the optimization of live safety operation strategies.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Able to commit to a 12-week full-time internship with 4 days on-site during Spring 2026.
- Strong logical thinking, risk awareness, and problem-solving skills; able to identify live safety risks and propose targeted solutions.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and teamwork skills; able to collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve live safety issues.
- Passion for live streaming, content ecosystem, and platform trust & safety; understanding of live content governance and safety norms.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, responsible, and able to independently follow through and complete safety operation tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Able to continue working on-site during Summer 2026.
- Previous internship or project experience in content safety, live streaming operations, trust & safety, or community governance.
- Familiar with live streaming platforms and creator communities, especially TikTok LIVE safety and operation scenarios.
- Basic data analysis skills (e.g., SQL) to analyze live safety data and support risk decision-making.
- Able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and respond to real-time live safety and governance challenges.
- Strong learning ability and sense of responsibility; able to handle pressure and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (hourly)
The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $25- $25.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
