Litigation & Compliance Response Analyst, EMEA - Trust and Safety (Specified Purpose Contract)

We are a team that handles legally required user appeals submitted through recognized bodies, supports legal reviews and historical moderation investigations, manages reports of illegal content in specific markets, and provides customer support through public intake channels to ensure user and safety-related requests are addressed promptly and professionally.

About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated Litigation & Compliance Response Analyst to join our dynamic Global Trust and Safety team. This role will focus on regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and responding to safety-related regulatory inquiries globally (particularly Europe). The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of compliance frameworks, digital safety regulations, and an analytical mindset to assess and manage risk effectively.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and respond to regulatory inquiries, compliance risks, and legal obligations globally (particularly Europe).
- Ensure TikTok meets regional safety and compliance requirements, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and implement risk containment strategies to address evolving regulatory challenges and prevent potential violations.
- Analyze emerging trends in content safety, privacy, and digital regulations to ensure TikTok stays ahead of compliance risks.
- Work closely with legal, policy, and trust & safety teams to assess and mitigate regulatory risks.
- Prepare reports and documentation to support regulatory responses and compliance assessments.

Please note, this is a Specified Purpose contract for Maternity Leave. This contract will be for 6 months for the duration of the relevant maternity leave for which the cover is needed

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Compliance, Risk Management, Political Science, or a related field.
- Experience in regulatory compliance, risk management, trust & safety, or a related field, preferably within the tech industry.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required.
- Good understanding of EU's digital regulations, content moderation laws, and online safety frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with regulatory authorities or law enforcement agencies is a plus.
