Legal Counsel (Commercial - Monetisation), London
Responsibilities
 This role will be part of our Europe Regional Monetisation Legal Team, sitting within the wider Global Monetisation Legal Team, a commercial legal function supporting TikTok's revenue generating functions across the UK, Ireland, and continental Europe.
The team partners closely with Sales, Creative Ops, Global Business Marketing, and Commercial Partnership Solutions to structure and negotiate strategic deals that drive TikTok's monetisation strategy. We also play a key role in building a rich and diverse content ecosystem that inspires creativity and delivers joyful experiences to our users. 
As TikTok continues to scale its presence and offerings in Europe, the Monetisation Legal team plays a pivotal role in enabling sustainable growth while safeguarding TikTok's core objective of building a trusted platform where creativity thrives and communities are enriched.

Responsibilities:
- negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements supporting multiple stakeholders across TikTok, including for media sales, incentives, brand partnerships, and marketing events.
- identifying opportunities to improve existing processes and procedures and develop and implement strategies to scale and standardise the use of legal resources, including creating new resources and playbooks.
- collaborating effectively with global, regional and local cross functional teams (including sales ops, finance, trading, product, partnerships, brand safety, data privacy and information security) to provide legal input on everything from strategy to client queries.
- advising on commercial aspects of creator enablement programs, including drafting global terms, managing partner/creator/brand ecosystem, handling legal escalations, and assessing new features to mitigate risk.
- Contribute to knowledge management, process optimisation, and template development to scale best practices across Europe while aligning with global legal standards.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Qualified Lawyer with experience in the media, entertainment, advertising, or digital content sectors, ideally with platforms, agencies, or rights holders.
- Strong grasp of the regulatory considerations affecting platforms, advertisers, and creators; knowledge of data privacy, content regulation, consumer protection, or AI law is a plus.
- Adaptable and solutions-focused, with proven ability to balance legal risk with commercial opportunity in a fast-moving environment.
- Worked closely with sales and marketing teams of various levels of sophistication that are focused on monthly / quarterly targets.
- International outlook with experience advising across multiple jurisdictions and engaging diverse stakeholders.
