Law Enforcement Outreach Manager (Canada and Central America) - Trust and Safety
Responsibilities
The Law Enforcement Operations team is a global function responsible for building and maintaining trusted relationships with law enforcement authorities across the world. This is done through strategic engagement with law enforcement authorities both on a proactive and reactive basis. The team also undertakes awareness-raising initiatives to educate and train authorities on our processes and policies regarding data disclosure and investigative support through a strict legal and privacy-focused framework.
As a Law Enforcement Outreach Manager, you will be the liaison officer to strategic law enforcement agencies in the Americas Region, with a specific focus on Canada and Central America. This position would entail frequent travel to countries in the region.
Responsibilities:
- You'll work closely with legal and public policy teams to develop key partnerships between TikTok and strategic law enforcement agencies with a focus on Internet safety and security.
- You'll develop proactive outreach programs to law enforcement agencies in AMS, to raise awareness on TikTok processes such as submissions of emergency data disclosure requests, other requests relating to data, and TikTok's policies for protecting user privacy and responding to legal requests.
- You'll support child safety and emergency response teams, and coordinate with internal investigation teams to develop referral processes for law enforcement agencies.
- You'll work closely with our internal legal team and external counsel in responding to governmental requests for data.

- Experienced in working or engaging with law enforcement authorities at an international level.
- 5 years of work experience in the safety/security field, and/or as an analyst or investigator with a safety, law enforcement, or security focus.
- Experience with global privacy laws, regulations, and industry guidelines, especially those relevant for social media and Internet companies.
- Background in law enforcement or government investigations, particularly in cybercrime investigations, and experience in business administration or program management would be an added advantage.
- Full proficiency in English and Spanish is required as this role will be covering the Canadian and Central Americas markets.
- Ability to frequently travel within the AMS region.

Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $115200 - $227800 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others.
