Our team is dedicated to building and scaling Japan's entertainment content ecosystem, delivering world-class entertainment experiences to users on TikTok.
We partner closely with leading entertainment companies, rights holders, and creators to drive their success both domestically and globally. Through strategic collaboration, we help shape sustainable growth models that unlock new opportunities across the entertainment value chain.
Working cross-functionally with Global, Product, and Marketing teams, we lead high-impact initiatives such as global anime campaigns and emerging format expansion-including the growth of short-form drama. By bridging Japan's dynamic entertainment industry with TikTok's global platform, we play a key role in elevating Japanese entertainment to a worldwide stage.
Responsibilities
1. Lead Scaled Adoption Programs
- Own the end-to-end strategy, development, and execution of in-app campaigns and programs tailored to the entertainment vertical (anime, film, TV, variety, short-form drama, etc.).
- Develop clear program narratives aligned with business objectives and audience positioning, incorporating a strong PR and storytelling perspective.
- Drive large-scale creator participation to increase adoption of key product features and elevate overall content quality within the category.
2. Product & Strategy Collaboration
- Partner closely with Product and Global teams to localize product strategies for the Japanese entertainment market.
- Analyze market dynamics and adapt approaches to ensure successful rollout and measurable impact of adoption programs, aligned with product roadmaps and data insights.
3. Data-Driven Strategy & Optimization
- Establish clear performance metrics and continuously monitor program effectiveness.
- Leverage quantitative data, first-party insights, and external market intelligence to generate hypotheses, validate outcomes, and iterate rapidly.
- Translate complex data into practical, actionable strategies that optimize program impact.
4. Scalable Enablement Frameworks
- Develop and operationalize scalable enablement assets-including tutorials, best practice guides, and communication playbooks-that empower entertainment partners and creators to independently adopt new tools and formats.
- Build repeatable frameworks that drive sustainable adoption at scale.
5. Offline Event Management
- Conceptualize and execute strategic offline events to educate, engage, and activate entertainment creators and partners.
- Leverage offline touchpoints to accelerate product adoption and strengthen the creator ecosystem.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, program management, project management, or related roles within the tech, social media, or entertainment industries.
- Fluent in Japanese and business-level proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Demonstrated experience and strong understanding of the entertainment business landscape.
- Deep understanding of the creator ecosystem, creator product journey, and cross-platform digital tools.
- Strong analytical capabilities with proven experience working with complex datasets and making data-informed decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to translate high-level strategies into clear execution plans and deliver measurable results.
- Proven track record of managing multiple concurrent projects and operating independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- Experience working across both B2B and B2C business contexts.
- Experience collaborating with global teams across cultures and time zones.
- Strong knowledge of and genuine passion for the Japanese entertainment industry, including key market dynamics, major stakeholders, and emerging content formats.
