About the Team
The Global Monetization Product and Technology Legal team supports TikTok's innovative, state-of-the-art advertising products. The team works fast, tackling the most exciting legal issues that arise from disruptive technological innovations and providing proactive, creative guidance.

Responsibilities
- Product counseling & legal review - Partner with global Product and Engineering teams from concept through post-launch, proactively identify legal risks, and deliver practical mitigation strategies for Performance-Ads features.
- Cross-functional collaboration - Coordinate with a broad range of legal partners to provide consistent, comprehensive global advice.
- Strategic horizon scanning - Monitor emerging legal, regulatory, and technology trends that could impact performance advertising, and spearhead internal initiatives such as policy updates, training programs, and best-practice frameworks to keep the product team ahead of the curve.
- Process improvement - Build scalable internal systems and processes and provide practical, creative solutions to help accelerate TikTok's launch velocity.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- Qualified to practice law in the jurisdiction.
- Substantial experience with global legal issues impacting digital advertising including privacy, minor safety, consumer protection, AIGC, automation, IP and other related fields, gained in private practice and/or in-house.

Preferred Qualifications
- Product-counseling experience with AI-generated content, model training, or automation in ad products.
- Familiarity with ad-bidding strategies and the broader ad-tech ecosystem.
- Product-counseling experience at a User-Generated Content (UGC) platform.
- Experience drafting public-facing product documentation and regulatory filings for performance-advertising solutions.

Job Information

[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $134400 - $235600 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
