Finance Business Partner - SoundOn (Mandarin Speaking)
Responsibilities
The Finance Business Partner TikTok Music team are responsible for overseeing Music licensing revenue and cost, including forecasting, expense review and approval, efficiency analysis, performance evaluations, risk management, and other finance-related activities. This role plays a key part in supporting the TikTok Music business team by driving strategic decision-making and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Finance Business Partner for SoundOn's European business, including regional P&L management, budgeting and forecasting, and business performance analysis.
- Develop business cases and scenario analyses to evaluate the returns and profitability of investments in artists, labels, distribution channels, and markets.
- Act as a key business partner and work closely with Strategy, BD, and other teams to support negotiation strategies, settlement term design, and related financial decisions.
- Enhance deal approval, expense management, performance review, and management reporting mechanisms, while driving process standardization, data quality improvements, and automation.

- Provide finance business partnering support for the music rights business, including participation in rights-holder partnership management, settlement processes, and commercial analysis.
- Leverage data analytics and AI tools to continuously improve financial analysis, management reporting, and process automation.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification(s):
- Bachelor's degree or above.
- More than 5 years of experience in finance business partnering, financial analysis, or a related area.
- Solid experience in budgeting, business performance analysis, cost control, contract review, and settlement processes, with a proven ability to support complex businesses.
- Strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and cross-functional communication and coordination skills, with the ability to independently drive projects through implementation.
- Strong systems thinking and process optimisation capabilities.
- Proficiency in AI tools, with experience using them to build dashboards or improve operational efficiency.
- Fluency in Mandarin is required to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders based in Mandarin-speaking markets, where Mandarin is the primary working language and English proficiency may be limited.
Preferred Qualification(s):
- Preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience in internet, technology, content and entertainment, music, or consulting.
- Experience in developing business-finance processes, designing systems, or productising solutions.
