Data Scientist Project Intern (Data Cycling Centre) - 2026 Start (BS/MS)

Responsibilities

As an intern of the Data Cycling Centre (DCC) team, you will have the opportunity to have an immersive experience in the fast-growing space of AI and contribute to the development of cutting-edge products.

As a project intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful short-term projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real-world experience. You will gain practical skills through on-the-job learning in a fast-paced work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests.

Successful candidates must be able to commit to at least 3 months long internship period.

- Research and practice large model prompt word engineering, and explore the application of large models in content understanding tasks;
- Image classification, text content analysis and multimodal models that support short video content understanding;
- Support the entire process of AI projects, including model data collection, training, evaluation, delivery and iteration.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Master the principles of machine learning and deep learning algorithms, and have CV/NLP practical experience is required

Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient in using Python for data cleaning, building machine learning and deep learning models;
- Strong communication and written skills.
- Actively enrolled university students who can commit to the role for at least 3 months and above ideally with a minimum of 4 working days per week.
