About the team
The success of TikTok's data business model hinges on the supply of a large volume of high quality labeled data that will grow exponentially as our business scales up. However, the current cost of data labeling is excessively high. The Data Solutions team is built to understand data strategically at scale for all Global Business Solution (GBS) business needs. Data Solutions Team uses quantitative and qualitative data to guide and uncover insights, turning our findings into real products to power exponential growth. Data Solutions Team responsibility includes infrastructure construction, recognition capabilities management, global labeling delivery management.
About the role:
We're looking for a highly capable Data Solutions Lead to build the next generation of data solutions in support of industry leading products and services in the space of Monetization and Integrity that TikTok provides. You will be assessing data needs from AI development of each business lines, innovating across your given resources, and navigating across both business and technical XFN stakeholder teams, design solutions to build data labeling at scale, using state-of-the-art algorithms and recognition models to improve datasets and optimize the requirement handling mechanism and process.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with each product line to understand and shape their need of data, translating complex business requirements into data solutions
- Develop strong relationships with xFN partner teams to deliver efficient data solutions that support revenue generation and cost savings
- Enhance the quality of labelled data delivery through standardization and productization, innovate across multiple different data product types to reduce cost and increase impact
- Lead the team to keep exploring better data solutions for AI development
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with writing and optimizing SQL, and with one general purpose programming language (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python)
- Experience in data analytics and data visualization
- Experience in artificial intelligence, computer vision, and machine learning techniques and other fields
- High proficiency in English and Mandarin listening, speaking, reading and writing. Both English and Mandarin skill sets are required to support clients in China and to communicate with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Passion for the impact of data in AI industry, fluency with data, fluency with model application
- Experience of e2e product / business ownership are preferred
- Outstanding skills of communication, collaboration, project management, problem solving, and an excellent team player

Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $185600 - $396000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
