Data Engineer, Lark - USDS

- Analyze complex user requirements to architect and develop high-performance backend software solutions using Java or Go; apply advanced Data Structures, Algorithms, and Microservices principles to optimize workplace productivity and cross-platform data flow.
- Troubleshoot complex production failures and conduct deep-dive bottleneck analysis for distributed engines; design self-healing mechanisms and performance tuning strategies to ensure the 24/7 stability of Lark's global data infrastructure.
- Establish proactive alerting and monitoring to ensure pipeline stability and the security of internal employee data.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Master/PhD in Statistics, Management Science, Economics, Operations Research, or other highly quantitative fields.
- 3+ years of experience in data science or analytics, with a strong track record of performing high-quality analysis on Big Data.
- Strategic Data Science Architect with a proven track record of incubating zero-to-one technologies and driving high-level organizational change by translating complex data insights into actionable strategies for executive leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated leadership and self-direction. Willingness to both teach others and learn new techniques.
- Demonstrated skills in selecting the right statistical tools given a data analysis problem. Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Job Information

[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $136800 - $359720 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location.
