About the team
Our mission is to build a world where people can safely discover, create and connect. The AI Data Service and Eco Operations (ADSEO) team is responsible for the operation of security model training, and iteration under TikTok and other International products, to ensure product security and create a good atmosphere for content creation and community interaction.

The Safety Operations team is responsible for undertaking international product safety & related model data labelling for business improvement strategies. This includes training and optimizing the existing safety and related models, verifying the effect of the models, assisting in the optimization of safety & related strategies, improving moderation efficiency and ensuring the safety of the platform and users.

As a project intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful short-term projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real-world experience. You will gain practical skills through on-the-job learning in a fast-paced work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests.

Responsibilities
1. Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights
2. Perform root cause analyses (RCA) for quality issues regarding data labelling and manage data validation processes to identify and address areas for improvement
3. Design, build, and maintain dashboards and data tables to track key metrics, enabling proactive decision-making
4. Producing regular quality performance reports, highlighting trends, areas of concern, and performance against established KPIs
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven recommendations
6. Providing ad-hoc analysis and insights to support business decision-making, ensuring safety operations strategies are data-driven and aligned with business priorities
7. Document and present findings to stakeholders to drive actionable outcomes

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
1. Actively enrolled university student
2. Bachelor's degree or above, computer, statistics, mathematics and other related majors are preferred
3. Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and Python, with experience in at least one scripting language
4. Familiarity with common data analysis techniques and statistical methods
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive insights from complex datasets
6. Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications
1. Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
2. Good logical thinking ability, business interpretation ability and fast learning ability;
3. Sensitive to numbers and love Data Analysis work.
