Cyber Policy and Infrastructure Manager

Responsibilities

The Government Relations and Public Policy team covers a wide range of responsibilities: government affairs and government relations; policy and issue area expertise; risk and crisis management and mitigation; outreach, coalitions, and partnerships. The mission of the team is to earn trust and prevent, manage, and mitigate political, legislative, and regulatory threats to TikTok.

Responsibilities
- Lead monitoring and analysis of emerging policy trends and legislative developments at a European/EU level in the cyber policy space, including policies that could have impact on digital infrastructure, and coordinate internal positioning in response.
- Provide insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders on potential implications for TikTok's business and operations, and advise internal teams on regulatory requirements, risks and opportunities;
- Provide subject-matter expertise and strategic input to local government relations teams on cyber policy and infrastructure issues, ensuring alignment with cross company policy positioning
- Collaborate closely with internal cross-functional teams, including PR, Legal, Product and Engineering, to align engagement efforts with TikTok's broader strategic objectives and ensure a joined-up approach to the development of public policy positions and advocacy campaigns;
- Develop and advance company policy positions on cyber policy and infrastructure related topics, including sustainability, in conjunction with CSR and other cross functional teams.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- Direct experience in Public Policy and/or Government Relations and Advocacy work.
- Deep understanding of public policy issues around the data centre industry, data security, privacy, and sustainability.
- Proven network within the data centre industry and beyond.
- Fluent in English as it is the working language of the company.
