Content & Product Governance Project Intern (TikTok Shop Japan) - 2026 Start (BS/MS)

Responsibilities

Global E-Commerce's Governance and Experience (GNE) is a global team responsible for ensuring a safe and trustworthy marketplace for not only our buyers, but also our sellers and creators.

As a project intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful short-term projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real-world experience. You will gain practical skills through on-the-job learning in a fast-paced work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests.

Responsibilities
- Assist in analyzing large datasets to support the development and optimization of product quality and compliance strategies
- Support research on violations and risk trends related to content and product listings, and help draft governance strategies and workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on key projects such as content governance, intellectual property protection, and compliance management
- Monitor market policy changes and emerging risks to help adjust internal strategies and ensure alignment

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in any field; majors in engineering, data science, law, or social sciences are preferred
- Strong logical thinking and data analysis skills; proficiency in Excel is required, and experience with SQL or other data tools is a plus
- Interest in e-commerce, content governance, intellectual property, and compliance
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Availability of at least 3 working days per week, for a minimum duration of 3 months is preferred
- Proficiency in Japanese or English (reading and writing) is a plus depending on project needs
