About the Team
The Teen Experiences team is dedicated to building age-appropriate product experiences for teens on TikTok. The team develops product strategies for younger users and partners closely with cross-functional teams across Safety, Policy, Legal, Product, Engineering, Machine Learning, and Operations to create a safe, compliant, and positive environment for teens.
We design and launch teen-specific product features, improve content recommendation and safety mechanisms, strengthen privacy-by-default experiences, and help TikTok respond to evolving global requirements related to youth safety and minor protection.

Responsibilities
- Lead operational programs across teen safety and content governance, including age-assurance review, teen experience protections, and the detection, escalation, and enforcement of high-risk content.
- Build and continuously improve content moderation quality programs, including review standards, operational workflows, quality assurance mechanisms, performance metrics, monitoring, and analytics to improve the quality and consistency of moderation across global markets.
- Monitor key operational and risk metrics, identify emerging trends, and conduct root cause analyses (RCA) of moderation outcomes, incidents, and quality gaps. Translate findings into improvements across policies, operational strategies, processes, and tooling.
- Develop and optimize SOPs, escalation frameworks, automation solutions, and quality evaluation mechanisms to improve operational efficiency, review accuracy, and responsiveness to safety risks.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, Policy, Legal, and Global Operations teams to develop and deploy AI-assisted moderation solutions, workflow systems, and other strategic safety initiatives.
- Support priority markets and cross-regional programs, ensuring operational processes and controls align with platform policies, applicable regulatory requirements, and compliance and transparency reporting obligations.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with proven years of experience in Product Operations, Operations Strategy, Quality Operations, Content Moderation Operations, Trust & Safety, or a related field.
- Experience with or strong knowledge of youth safety, content governance, age assurance, moderation quality, or high-risk content enforcement.
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to use metrics, operational data, and business outcomes to identify issues and drive continuous improvement.

- Strong program and stakeholder management skills, with experience working cross-functionally with teams such as Product, Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, Policy, and Legal.
- Working knowledge of regulations, compliance requirements, and industry practices related to minor protection, youth safety, and CSAM.
- Professional proficiency in English and ability to operate effectively in a global working environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working at a technology platform, social media company, or global internet company.
- Hands-on experience in CSAM, teen/youth safety, age assurance, identity verification, content moderation quality, or Trust & Safety operations.
- Experience with automation, AI-assisted moderation tools, or workflow management systems.
- Experience leading or supporting cross-regional, multi-market, or global programs.
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $76000 - $151200 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
