Responsibilities
This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking lawyer to join our growing legal team supporting the Monetization and Sales business teams at TikTok. We are looking for a highly skilled commercial lawyer to join the Global Monetization Legal Team supporting our operations in North America.

Responsibilities
You will handle a wide range of matters related to TikTok's Monetization and Sales business, such as:
- TikTok's advertising policies
- Data/privacy issues
- Regulatory issues
- Streamlining and process improvement projects
- Knowledge management, template/playbook development, process improvements and training (both within legal and the wider sales and marketing functions)
Day-to-day, this role will lead negotiations and strategic engagement with key media buying clients and marketing partners. You will draft and negotiate a wide range of agreements, such as:

- Sales contracts with media buying agencies and brands that use the TikTok platform
- Trading and partnership agreements with media buying clients
- Sponsorship agreements
- Partnership and collaboration agreements
- Service provider agreements and statements of work, including creative agency, production and event management agreements
- Agreements governing creative assets provided by our in-house team, talent agreements and image releases

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree plus a Juris Doctorate from a top-tier ABA-accredited law school.
- Member in good standing of the California or New York bar.
- 5+ years of post-qualification experience, with digital advertising industry experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of advertising laws and policies, including FTC Guidelines, data collection and use best practices, and other digital advertising industry standards.
- Highly organized and able to navigate a fast-paced environment and be highly responsive to deadline-oriented clients.
- Experience counseling business teams in the sales and marketing industries, leading the drafting and negotiation of sales and vendor contracts including MSA and SOWs.
- Passion and intellectual curiosity for all things media and technology.
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $127680 - $223820 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
