About the team
The Global Business Solutions (GBS) team is responsible for the revenue growth of the TikTok business, and our teams include Sales, Marketing, Ops, Account Managers, Agency and partnerships, as well as Marketing Science. At TikTok, our Global Business Solutions (GBS) team plays a key role in generating revenue by promoting our advertising solutions, onboarding new clients, driving ad campaigns, and more. As the TikTok community grows at an unprecedented speed around the world, our GBS team leads groundbreaking projects that are changing the landscape of the advertising industry in real time.
As a Client Partner in the Retail unit, you leverage deep expertise in digital media operations, platform ecosystems, and the retail industry to drive advertising revenue and accelerate client business growth
Key Responsibilities
- Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers to drive advertisement spend growth, delivering TikTok solutions tailored to client strategies and industry insights as a strategic partner
- Develop strategic plans across short, mid, and long-term perspectives to achieve growth targets, delivering tailored TikTok solutions prioritized by business impact
- Formulate and align on joint strategies with clients, and lead project execution in collaboration with internal cross-functional teams to drive client success
- Identify client and industry needs through direct engagement, and accurately convey insights to product teams and management to contribute to Product-Market Fit and Go-to-Market strategies
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience, preferably 7 years of working in advertising businesses, advertising agencies, and marketing or media consulting companies
- Interest in the digital advertising industry and customer-facing roles
- Japanese and English professional proficiency is required to deal with both local and international stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in digital advertising within the retail industry, or a proven track record of driving client business growth through digital advertising as a sales representative for retail clients
- Experience leading and securing strategic partnership agreements involving C-level executives, and successfully achieving target goals agreed upon with them
- Deep knowledge of TikTok solutions, or successful experience in executing campaigns leveraging TikTok creators
