Backend Software Engineer - TikTok Shop (Aftersale)

Responsibilities

TikTok Shop is a content e-commerce business with international short video product as the carrier. It is committed to becoming the first choice for users to discover and purchase good products with affordable prices. TikTok Shop business team hopes to provide users with more tailored and efficient consumption experience, enabling merchants to receive reliable platform services in different scenarios such as live e-commerce, short video content e-commerce, so as to make more affordable and high-quality products sell easily and a better life within reach.

The Aftersale & Experience team ensures a seamless post-purchase experience across aftersale-request, return, refund. We optimize every stage, from post-purchase, strengthening the trust between buyers, sellers, logistics providers, and the e-commerce platform. We urgently need architects and engineers and ai-agent-engineers with rich e-commerce background experience to join us and jointly build a world-class e-commerce aftersale experience.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the system development of international e-commerce after-sales related fields, participating in the construction of multiple core systems, and continuously optimizing and improving them.
- Responsible for building and developing after-sales processes and strategies, intelligent after-sales engines and tools.
- Referring to industry best practices, participate in system architecture optimization to improve the multi-regional support and refined operation capabilities of the international after-sales system.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Programming & System Analysis, Science (Computer Studies) or related discipline.
- Candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in developing highly scalable backend services and systems using at least one of Java/Golang; familiar with Linux, MySQL, Redis, RocketMQ, and configuration centers.
- Possesses the capability for system design, performance optimization, and stability management in distributed, high-traffic scenarios.
- AI coding experience, able to use coding agents to build system.
- Strong learning ability, good problem analysis and solving skills, sensitive to new technologies and willing to engage in new technology research.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in e-commerce system development.
- Strong communication skills and good team spirit.
- Passion for programming, AI trending exploring , strong learning ability, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive mindset toward staying current with industry technologies.
