Our Organization:

As a Senior Observability / SRE Engineer, you will architect and operationalize end‑to‑end visibility across StoreWeb modernization-delivering metrics, events, logs, and traces (MELT) frameworks that empower engineering teams to detect, prevent, and remediate issues before they impact stores. You will define SLOs, build diagnostic tooling, lead incident‑response maturity, and establish reliability engineering patterns adopted across the organization. This is a high‑impact, deeply technical role-your work will directly influence modernization velocity, platform resilience, and customer experience.

What you will do

• Instrument cloud‑native services with Open Telemetry and App Insights; define enterprise logging, metrics, and tracing standards.

• Architect dashboards that provide actionable visibility for engineering, operations, and business partners.

• Define SLOs, SLIs, and error‑budget policies; lead operational reviews and drive reliability‑focused decision‑making.

• Engineer alert rules with high signal‑to‑noise ratios and automated diagnostics workflows.

• Lead incident‑response improvements including runbooks, post‑mortems, and reliability backlogs.

• Partner with platform, backend, and integration teams to embed observability into service templates and deployment patterns.

• Introduce chaos‑engineering and resilience validation practices to proactively identify failure modes.

• Promote observability maturity, tooling adoption, and operational readiness across modernization teams.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands‑on SRE, observability, or production‑engineering experience.

• Strong proficiency in KQL, distributed tracing, and telemetry correlation across microservices.

• Deep experience with Open Telemetry, App Insights, and end‑to‑end MELT instrumentation.

• Proven experience supporting mission‑critical, distributed, high‑availability systems.

• Ability to drive incident‑response maturity, post‑mortem quality, and operational excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with retail, store systems, or edge reliability constraints.

• Background with staged rollouts, progressive delivery, and resilience‑testing patterns.

• Expertise in operational analytics, anomaly detection, or automated reliability tooling.
