About the Role
We're seeking a WHS Senior Specialist (Contract - 18 Months) to join our Human Resources division, supporting our Home Office operations in NSW. This role is designed to lead and enhance our safety management systems, contractor governance, and regulatory compliance. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies to drive a proactive and risk-informed approach to workplace health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake a comprehensive review of the existing TJXA Safety Management System to ensure it is fit for purpose and aligned with operational needs.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement robust contractor management & Procurement systems.
- Provide technical guidance & support with conducting TJXA WHS Systems Audit & Critical Risk Verification Program
- Assist in the deployment of electronic safety management system
- Conduct a risk analysis for Head Office operations to identify areas requiring attention, improvement, or intervention.
- Foster a mentoring / coaching approach with Home Office key stakeholders to enhance WHS capabilities
- Support the Injury management team with Home Office RTW programs to support injured Associates effective & timely return to work
- Provide risk informed recommendations around complex WHS matters with key stakeholders based on deep understanding of WHS legislation and regulations
- Mange State based SafeWork Regulatory requirements relating to reporting and managing Regulatory visits
What You'll Bring
- Proven WHS experience in a corporate environment
- Proven experience in project management and system development
- Exposure to contractor management
- Experience with electronic safety management systems
- Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety (Degree and Postgraduate)
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
