This Accountant leads the preparation of financial statements, disclosures, and executive‑ready analyses while collaborating with partners across Finance and Operations. What You'll Do:
- Prepare complex journal entries & account reconciliations, ensuring the accuracy of TJX financial statements while providing guidance to junior Associates.
- Prepare and analyze Financial Statements, support schedules, disclosures and SEC filings (i.e. P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Support cross-functional business partners (i.e. Payroll, Lease Accounting, Fixed Assets - and more) by leading the preparation and presentation of reporting and analysis.
- Collaborate cross functionally and globally with Finance and operational groups, identifying key stakeholders and facilitating discussions around operational process improvements, changes to GAAP reporting and/or SOX controls.
- Prepare executive-ready presentation, leading conversations with executive leaders up to the CFO.
- Partner with business leadership to provide financial analysis supporting expense monitoring, financial trends, enhanced visibility or other ad hoc reporting.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Financial Accountings, reviewing their work, supporting onboarding and managing Co-Op students (as assigned).
- Lead special projects, forecasting, and/or presentations to senior leadership.
About You:
- A minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in Accounting and Finance or Audit.
- Post secondary education in a related field (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics).
- The CPA designation is considered an asset; CPA designation in-progress (with the CFE exam successfully passed) will be taken into consideration.
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial statement analysis abilities.
- Excellent abilities identifying, organizing, analyzing data across multiple databases and spreadsheets.
- Strong analytical thinking, ability to identify problems, weigh the risks or cost implications of different solutions, and advises on options in support of effective decision-making by leadership.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; the ability to interpret and articulate complex data insights and flexing communication style to appropriately suit the intended audience.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions, build effective professional relationships, foster trust and teamwork across the organization.
- Excellent time management and project management skills; the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, understand interdependencies, and multi-task with limited supervision.
- Excellent spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel) and financial modeling skills; able to manipulate large data sets amongst variety of Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Experience utilizing data analytics, data visualization, and budgeting tools (i.e. TM1, Hyperion, Anaplan, Alteryx, Power Bi, Tableau) and using Power Query, Power Automate, VBA is considered an asset.

Salary Range: $74,752.50-$104,653.50 /year *This represents the expected hiring range and may not represent the full pay range for the position. The salary offered may be higher than the posted range depending on several factors such as relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
