The Payroll Accountant will be responsible for supporting payroll operations, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing, and maintaining the integrity of payroll-related financial records. This role requires strong analytical skills, an in-depth knowledge of payroll accounting practices and principles, and a thorough understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
- Perform various accounting functions to ensure accurate and complete general ledger balances.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations of Payroll related accounts, partnering with other departments to resolve variances.
- General Ledger Activities: Perform general ledger functions, including creating and posting journal entries to accurately record payroll transactions.
- Payroll Reconciliations: Conduct payroll reconciliations to verify the accuracy of payroll data. Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.
- Compliance and Adherence: Ensure that all payroll activities comply with relevant regulatory standards and organizational policies, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
Who We're Looking for: You.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1-2 years in Accounting or Finance
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Ability to think critically and solve problems, particularly when dealing with payroll discrepancies or compliance issues.
