Job Description:
At TJX Australia, we are committed to creating a safe, welcoming and enjoyable shopping experience for our customers. As a Loss Prevention Customer Service Associate, you will play a key role in supporting this by maintaining a visible presence in-store, deterring theft through proactive customer engagement, and contributing to a strong culture of safety and integrity.
This is a full-time position, offering a mix of weekday and weekend shifts within standard retail trading hours. You will receive annual leave and personal leave entitlements, along with an hourly rate, including penalty rates for evenings (after 6pm), weekends and public holidays.
Key Responsibilities
Keeping People Safe
- Deliver professional and friendly customer service to create a welcoming store environment
- Use communication tools (e.g. headsets) to stay connected with store teams
- Escalate incidents or concerns in line with company policies
Loss Prevention & Store Support
- Act as a visible deterrent to theft through strong customer engagement
- Monitor store entry and exit points, including responding to gate activations
- Report incidents and suspicious activity accurately and in a timely manner

Operational Support & Shrink Reduction
- Support the store and Loss Prevention team with shrink reduction initiatives
- Identify and report trends or operational gaps
- Assist with equipment and security processes in line with store procedures
- Participate in training and apply best practices
About You
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- High level of integrity, reliability and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in fast-paced or challenging situations
- Flexible availability to support business needs
- Previous retail or security experience
