Job Description:
We're looking for a Learning & Development Design Specialist who's excited to shape impactful learning experiences across TJX Canada. In this role, you'll design and maintain a range of solutions-including instructor‑led training, eLearning, and visual learning assets-that help our associates grow and perform at their best. You'll play a key role in ensuring the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of both new and existing learning materials, directly influencing development outcomes across multiple stakeholder groups. What You'll Do:
- In collaboration with Learning & Development Design Manager and various stakeholders, creates instructor led, virtual or eLearning solutions.
- Works with business partners to identify and assess client learning needs and audience development level; researches written materials and partners with subject matter experts to ensure alignment on learning content and desired learning outcomes.
- Designs and develops comprehensive participant guides, leader guides, and job aids. Creates and uses mixed media such as video and animation to enhance content and drive learner engagement.
- Partners with the Learning & Development technology team to understand and determine upcoming technology standards, working together to identify and problem solve issues to ensure successful application of technology in future design projects and initiatives.
About You:
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relative work experience; Instructional Design, e-learning design.
- Adult Learning or Instructional Design certificate/program completion.
- Solid issue management skills including interpersonal skills, time management, decision making/problem solving, and analytical skills (analyzing the delivery and use of training programs/materials).
- Solid project management skills including preparing and maintaining detailed development plans for projects; understanding and applying principles of project control; ability to manage multiple projects to meet timelines and deliverables.
- Advanced skills in Articulate (Storyline and/or Rise).
- Experience with graphics design software (Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator).
