Job Description:

Role Overview

As the IT Engineering Manager for Retail Distribution, you will lead engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions that support distribution center modernization and business operations.

What You'll Do

  • Hire, develop, and coach a high-performing, multi-skilled team of 8-15 associates.
  • Bring strong leadership skills to motivate, inspire, and build high-performing talent.
  • Drive performance management, including coaching, goal setting, and holding team members accountable for commitments.
  • Manage a global function in a complex, multi-national corporate setting with geographically dispersed teams.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Apply a strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Champion agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise retail distribution solutions, including warehouse management systems, microservices, QA automation, DevSecOps, and technology lifecycle management.
  • Act as an escalation point for service disruptions, ensuring timely incident resolution and stakeholder communication.
  • Foster collaboration across global teams and promote a positive, inclusive culture.
  • Mentor and develop team members in alignment with TJX values.

What We're Looking For

  • 12+ years in engineering roles, with 3+ years in people leadership positions.
  • Expertise in Java-based microservices, event-driven architecture, API development, and cloud-native applications (Azure).
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in supply chain or warehousing.
  • Familiarity with Manhattan WMS.
  • SAFe Agile certification.
