Job Description:

Job Summary

Provides vision and strategy for Distribution Center Loss Prevention team to ensure customer service. Manages the Loss Prevention functions within the Distribution Center, which includes managing all LP Programs, shrink control, and protection of Company's assets and associates within assigned facility. Develops and maintains effective partnerships with assigned facility management team and external customers while ensuring strict adherence to D/C Best Practices.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Management of Loss Prevention Staff Within Assigned Distribution Center: Under the direction of the Manager of DC Loss Prevention, designs, develops, and implements LP programs for assigned DC. Works with DC Operations to identify potential shrink problems regarding merchandise movement. Develops strategies to counteract/solve shrink problems. Ensures the security of all merchandise that is shipped from the DCs to the stores. Provides direction to managers during emergencies. Ensures the physical security of the DC is maintained during emergencies and labor relation events. Develops and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external partners (i.e. DC Management, Human Resources, Home Office, Field LP associates, local/state police and fire officials, vendors, etc.)


  • Business and Managerial Coaching/Development: Manages DC LP Supervisors within assigned DC. Works closely with HR partners to ensure the recruiting, hiring, training, and evaluating of associates.


  • Business Planning & Administration: Develops and maintains budget strategies, capital investments, shrink resolution and awareness programs in partnership with DC and LP leadership


  • Safety Programs Administration: Oversees the fire safety programs within the facilities in order to ensure compliance with the Company insurance plans, OSHA, Factory Mutual, and NFPA guidelines. Implements new/revised programs as deemed necessary. Ensures proper functioning, monitoring and testing of all fire, safety and burglar systems within the facilities

Minimum formal education

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

Minimum experience required to perform this job

  • 4-6 years of managing a security operations environment

This position has a starting salary range of $83,100.00 to $106,000.00 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.
