Job Description:

Job Summary

Communicates TJX's social and product safety compliance program requirements. Ensures accuracy of factory lists for all TJX active vendors and factories. Ensures vendors/factories are audited according to required timelines. Reviews and assesses audit reports and evidence of corrective action. Requests TJX third-party audits, as required. Supports the office with oversight of their audit assessments.

Key Responsibilities

Reviews and Assesses audit reports and evidence of corrective actions

Responsible for reviewing and assessing factory audit reports. Decision making includes assessments of TJX third party audits and TJX accepted certification program audits. Reviews evidence of corrective action provided by vendors to determine if acceptable.

Monitor and follow up on corrective action plan, travel is required if necessary.

Oversight of Vendors' factory lists

Responsible for oversight and maintenance of TJX active vendors and factories. Communicates regularly with vendors and internal associates to ensure all vendors/factories are current. Updates social compliance factory audit results. Tracks audit results of vendors/factories to ensure timely biennial audits and re-audits.

Decision making on third-party audits

Responsible for determining factories requiring TJX third-party audits. Requests biennial audit requests for factories with most recent audit result of Needs Improvement or Satisfactory, when required. Requests re-audits for factories with most recent audit result of Unsatisfactory, when required.

Social Compliance Contact

Serves as the main social compliance contact for vendors and factories. Communicates program requirements to new vendors and associates. Updates made to all parties on audit results and provides support to the team, as needed.

Social Compliance Database

Responsible for maintaining TJX social compliance database for all vendors/factories associated.

Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Full working rights in Australia.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Great organisation, initiative, strong analytical skills, self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate across organisational groups and levels, both internally and externally.
  • High level of understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to supervise and support staff in logistics efforts.
  • Good follow through skills and ability to prioritise tasks to meet corporate goals.
