Job Description:

We're looking for a Compensation Manager to lead the execution of enterprise-wide compensation programs that directly support TJX Canada's ability to attract, motivate, and retain top talent. In this role, you'll influence national compensation strategy, partner closely with senior leaders, and provide trusted advisory support across a diverse portfolio of business groups. You'll leverage data-driven insights and market analysis to shape salary, incentive, and total rewards programs while ensuring internal equity, external competitiveness, and legislative compliance. What You'll Do:

  • Execute the administration and continuous improvement of compensation programs for TJX Canada; ensure alignment with enterprise standards and Canadian legislation
  • Lead the execution of the annual compensation cycle (i.e. salary increases, bonus payouts) and coordinate the administration of global incentive programs.
  • Support annual salary structure and Canadian market range updates through benchmarking, analysis, cost impact modeling, and assess competitiveness; presents results to senior leadership.
  • Consult collaboratively with HR Business Parters, Talent Acquisition, Global Compensation, and business leaders, delivering insights through data analysis; provides expert compensation advice for offers, promotions, job changes, and pay positioning decisions.
  • Develop tools, guides, dashboards, and communication materials to support awareness and understanding of compensation programs within HR and across business functions.
  • Act as key Canadian representative in global discussions, projects and/or program rollouts; provides Canadian market insights to support global program design.
  • Provide direction to Compensation Specialist(s) on the day-to-day operational activities, providing ongoing feedback and coaching.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, streamline, and improve compensation processes, tools and/or documentation.

About You:

  • Post‑secondary degree in a related field.
  • A Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation is an asset (in-progress CCP designation will also be considered).
  • A minimum of (5) years of professional experience in Compensation or Total Rewards, ideally in a large, complex national or multinational environment.
  • Strong understanding of compensation programs, salary structures, incentive plan administration, and Canadian legislative requirements.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to leverage prior experience and adapt quickly to the varying levels of ambiguity and complexity to provide effective and timely compensation recommendations.
  • Advanced analytical skills with expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; the ability to create dynamic dashboards in Power Bi and/or Tableau is considered an asset.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (Workday preferred).
  • Strong collaboration skills including negotiation, interviewing, information gathering and active listening skills; ability to develop highly effective working relationships by building credibility, respect, and rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to consult, influence, and build credibility with HR and business stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills including the ability to determine needs, research existing programs, prepare and maintain detailed development plans, outline project requirements and apply principles of project control. Experience with Lean Six Sigma process improvement methodology is an asset.
  • Effective communication skills with ability to explain complex concepts clearly to non‑technical audiences.
