About the Internship
PA Studio is the Port Authority's in-house Creative Agency. We are the sights and sounds of everything happening across our very busy footprint. With core outputs of graphic design, photography and videography, our focus is putting the Port Authority in the best light. We are the experts on the Port Authority brand and how that visually translates internally and externally to our customers. A position in the PA Studio is guaranteed to keep you creatively active and on the go.
Responsibilities:
- Assist and facilitate organization of photo/video shoots including equipment selection and preparation.
- Capture high quality photo and video of events, projects and other assignments.
- Edit assets as needed.
- Manage and organize digital files, ensure they are archived and distributed according to the workflow.
Qualifications:
- Enrollment at a college or university at the time of the internship
- Major in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with photography, videography, video editing, retouching, database management, Adobe CS
- Familiarity with project management software like Wrike, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook, or the willingness to learn.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, design, and production skills.
Desired:
- Proficient with Canon cameras or similar
- Functional in Adobe Creative Suite
- Good eye for composition
- Team player, open to both learning and presenting new ideas
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Interest in contributing to the success of the New York and New Jersey region
- Interest in public service and/or transportation
- Willingness to learn
Internship Details
- The start date will be Thursday, May 28, 2026
- The internship will last approximately 12 weeks, ending on Friday, August 21, 2026
- This is a full-time internship (5 days per week at 7.25 hours per day)
- In accordance with Port Authority policy, this position permits interns to work remotely a maximum of one day per week. In person collaboration is essential to how the Port Authority conducts business and regular in-office days or team collaboration days may be required depending on business needs. Some internships may require interns to be fully in-person.

Compensation & Benefits
- The hourly rate range is $18.07 to $30.31 (the exact rate will be determined by internship type and rising school year)
