About the Internship
Our Aviation Concessions Unit offers interns a front-row seat to the fast paced world of airport concessions and customer experience. The Concessions & Strategic Customer Experience Unit governs the concessions programs with over 200 lease agreements and 600 concession locations, aiming to provide top-tier shopping and dining experience for airport visitors. You will gain hands-on exposure to how we interact, support and manage a diverse mix of restaurants, shops and services that shapes a travelers' journey. The successful candidate will collaborate with industry professionals, analyze real operational data and help bring redevelopment initiatives to life. Responsibilities
- Support the Aviation Concessions Unit by gathering essential documents from stakeholders for agreement execution and record-keeping.
- Enter concessions contract data into the Port Authority's finance and real estate system.
- Assist the Sr. Concessions Agreement Coordinator with preparing new agreements, receiving security deposits, and issuing insurance compliance memos.
- Liaise with internal teams, including PA Law, Risk Management, and Financial Planning, to seek approvals for agreement execution.
- Collaborate with the Aviation Concessions Unit to develop innovative processes to stream-line data.
Minimum Qualifications
- Enrollment at a college or university at the time of the internship
- Major in Business Administration/Management, Finance, Public Administration/Affairs or related discipline
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrates strong proficiency in problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making.
- Exhibits meticulous attention to detail, identifying errors while maintaining focus on the broader context.
- Proficient in creating and interpreting Microsoft Excel reports, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
- Possesses excellent organizational skills with a keen interest in file and information management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize information into executive reports and presentations.
- A keen interest in contributing to the success of the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey Airports Concessions Unit and a commitment to public service.
- Exhibits a proactive commitment to ongoing professional development.

Internship Details
- The start date will be Thursday, May 28, 2026
- The internship will last approximately 12 weeks, ending on Friday, August 21, 2026
- This is a full-time internship (5 days per week at 7.25 hours per day)
- In accordance with Port Authority policy, this position permits interns to work remotely a maximum of one day per week. In person collaboration is essential to how the Port Authority conducts business and regular in-office days or team collaboration days may be required depending on business needs. Some internships may require interns to be fully in-person.

Compensation & Benefits
- The hourly rate range is $18.07 to $30.31 (the exact rate will be determined by internship type and rising school year)
