About the Internship
The Talent Acquisition team, as a part of Human Resources, is seeking an intern to support recruiting operations and help deliver an exceptional candidate and new-hire experience. This role is a hands-on opportunity to learn how a recruiting function runs day-to-day while supporting interviews, onboarding, and core Talent Acquisition activities. You will work closely with recruiters, candidates, hiring managers, and Talent Acquisition leaders to ensure smooth, timely processes.
Responsibilities
- Schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring all parties have the information they need
- Maintain accurate candidate records in the ATS (Jobvite) and support updates to templates and documentation
- Coordinate background checks, track progress, and collect required documents
- Organize, prepare, and help lead New Hire Orientation sessions
- Support new hire processing, including I-9 verification and pre-boarding tasks
- Assist recruiters with job postings, candidate communication, and general coordination
- Provide reporting or administrative support to the TA Operations Manager as needed
- Complete ad hoc tasks and special projects assigned by Talent Acquisition leadership

Minimum Qualifications
- Enrollment at a college/university through the duration of the internship
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
Desired Qualifications
- The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain accurate records is essential
- Ongoing interest in Talent Acquisition/Recruitment and/or Talent Acquisition Operations
- Previous Coordination or administrative experience a plus
Internship Details
- The start date is expected to be in January 2026
- The internship will require a minimum of 15 hours per week and could be up to 36.25 hours per week.
- In accordance with Port Authority policy, this position permits interns to work remotely a maximum of one day per week. In person collaboration is essential to how the Port Authority conducts business and regular in-office days or team collaboration days may be required depending on business needs. Some internships may require interns to be fully in-person.

Compensation & Benefits
- The hourly rate range is $18.07 to $30.31 (the exact rate will be determined by internship type and rising school year)
