The Auto Physical Damage Claims Performance Analytics organization is seeking a Senior Performance Analytics Consultant. This role is accountable for analyzing and reporting on operational and financial trends underlying auto physical damage claims. You will partner with teammates in performance analytics, the transformation and optimization team, data science, claims field leaders, product, actuarial and other segment leaders. You will proactively share emerging trends and respond to their questions on a variety of key metrics and emerging trends or issues.
In addition to providing deep analytics, the ability to tell a story with data is an essential skill as you work to influence a diverse audience to drive action and enable business decisions. With a tremendous amount of data at your fingertips across different subject areas, you will partner closely with process analysts to develop new metrics, evaluate hypotheses, and drive actionable insights.

Responsibilities:
• Ability to identify and drive meaningful improvement within the Claims organization.
• Monitor metrics and identify trends, actively participating in a cross functional team to understand root causes.
• Opportunity to connect newsworthy macro trends to claims trends and operational performance.
• Drive progress and consult on important initiatives through engagement in the Auto Value Stream.
• Compile monthly reporting exhibits and deliver insights to segment and actuarial leaders at monthly meetings.
• Develop presentation material for a senior leadership audience.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree preferred; experience in data analysis or performance analytics preferred.
• Demonstrated strong data analytics skills and familiarity with various tools used for data exploration, analysis and visualization (e.g. Snowflake, Oracle, Excel, Tableau, ThoughtSpot, etc.)
• Strong SQL skills preferred with ability to manage and manipulate large data sets.
• Auto claim experience is a plus.
• Proven ability to collaborate with business partners to deliver on actionable insights.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build strong partnerships.
• Ability to execute on multiple projects concurrently while managing competing priorities and plans to meet business goals and objectives.
• Ability to lead without having formal authority and to work both independently as well as in a team environment.
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing trends (operational, industry, and technological)
• Strong attention to customer needs and capability to translate into actionable solutions.
• Documented track record of creating innovative data solutions; passion for delivering outcomes.
• Understanding of the Agile framework is a plus.

This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement. Candidates who live near one of our office locations (Hartford, CT, San Antonio, TX, Lake Mary, FL, Phoenix, AZ, Naperville, IL) will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$94,000 - $141,000
