Key Responsibi lities
- Applies strong functional knowledge and elicitation techniques necessary to draw out data and analytics business requirements completely and accurately from stakeholders.
- Performs requirements planning, monitoring and requirements management.
- Independently performs rigorous data analysis, data discovery and data profiling using industry standard querying tools (SQL) to support business requirements development that are complete, clear, unambiguous, well written and appropriate to audience.
- Maintains data mapping documents, bus matrix and/or other data design artifacts that define business data requirements and transformation rules.
- Leverage generative AI insights for business analysis by understanding enterprise-grade GenAI pipelines, prompt engineering techniques, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts to support data-driven decision-making.
- Apply advanced data strategies through awareness of vector and graph databases, unstructured data processing, and optimization approaches to enhance analytics and reporting capabilities.
- Enable intelligent workflows by incorporating agentic AI concepts and emerging technologies into business processes, ensuring scalable and innovative solutions for complex data challenges.
- Collaborate with high-performing teams, Product Owners, and business stakeholders
- Lead responsibility in mentoring, instructing, assigning, directing, and checking the work of Business Data Analysts within their group.
- Acts as a change leader to help and drive implementation of industry best practices. Provides support and consultation by answering questions, researching possible solutions to complex problems, and fostering open communication between the customer and development team.
- Act as liaison and consultant between various business functions (Operations, Underwriting, Product, Change Management, Actuarial, etc.)
- Identifies choices and improvement opportunities to better align own work with the direction and strategic priorities of the broader organization.
- A bility to operate successfully in a lean and fast-paced organization, leveraging Scaled Agile principles and ways of working.

- Able to drive c ollaboration across teams, decision making, conflict resolution and relationship building.
Required Skills & Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Artificial Intelligence/ Data Science, Information Technology or similar majors.
- 6+ years of experience in business requirements or data analysis preferably supporting the Property Casualty / Commercial Lines Insurance industr ies working with data warehouse or reporting/analytic projects (Expert/Mastery)
- 6 to 7 years experience / proficiency with Industry Standard querying tools (SQL). (Expert/Mastery)
- Analyze and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions, leveraging awareness of generative AI concepts such as RAG and prompt engineering. ( 2+ years - Intermediate )
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data strategies, ensuring effective use of structured and unstructured data, and optimizing data flows for reporting and analytics. ( 2+ years - Intermediate )
- Develop and maintain advanced analytical workflows by incorporating emerging AI-driven techniques, agentic processes, and database solutions to support scalable, innovative business solutions. (2+ years - Intermediate)
- Strong critical thinking skills and analytical ability (6+ years- Expert/Mastery)
- Proven ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a timeline driven environment (2+ years - Intermediate)
- Experience in working in a n Agile team environment (2+ years - Intermediate)
- Detail oriented with strong communication skills - both verbal and non-verbal . (6+ years- Expert/Mastery)
